Design Your Dream Jewelry with Idle Hands Fine Jewelry

At Idle Hands Fine Jewelry, we pride ourselves on creating stunning custom pieces tailored to your unique vision. Please fill out our Custom Inquiry Form to get started on a custom piece of your own (scroll to bottom of page).

Custom Piece Details:

• Design Fee: A design fee will be applied to your order.
• Materials: We offer custom designs in 14K or 18K rose, white, yellow gold, or platinum. If you have a sentimental piece of jewelry, and would like to repurpose the metal, we can on a case by case basis. (No silver customs at this time.)
• Timeline: The custom design process typically takes 6-8 weeks.

How It Works:

1) Inquiry Review: After you submit the Custom Inquiry Form, we’ll review your request. After we review your form, we will reach out to schedule an initial zoom consultation. 

2) Consultation: During this conversation, we’ll discuss your design ideas, budget, and timeline to ensure we’re aligned. At this time, we will charge a non-refundable design fee to move forward with the design process. This fee ranges from $100-$300, depending on design complexity and will be used toward your final total. 

3) Design Sketches: Following our consultation, we’ll create 2-3 design sketches for you to choose from.

4) Deposit: Once you select your design, we require a 50% deposit of the total estimated budget (minus the design fee) to begin production.

5) Creation Process: We’ll source the necessary stones and materials, then either wax carve, fabricate, or create a 3D CAD model, depending on your piece. Then all of the prep, stone setting, sizing, engraving and jewelry work is done by hand, by us, in our home studio.

Important Note: For custom orders, center stones can only be sourced by us. However, if you have an heirloom stone that you’d like to reset, we will consider it on a case-by-case basis.
